An Invaluable Tool in the Fight Against Covid-19.

Have you recovered from coronavirus or Covid-19? Suspect you may have been previously exposed? The Coronavirus Antibody Test is a highly accurate serum test that looks for both IgM and IgG antibodies to SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for the Covid-19 infection. This test can identify individuals with recent or past exposure to the virus, and potentially even some future antibody protection against the disease. This test kit includes a pre-paid FedEx express label to ship your sample to the testing laboratory. We offer very fast turnaround, with results usually provided 2-3 working days after your sample has been received by the lab.

Advanced Chemiluminescence Technology

This test is conducted on a highly sensitive chemiluminescent (CLA) platform, and can identify even very small amounts of IgM and IgG antibodies. It is a precision test that provides results you (or your patients) can rely on. This technology is far superior to rapid cartridge-based tests for Covid-19 antibodies, which often have a high rate of error, and can be far less reliable.

Dual IgM/IgG Antibody Detection

IgM and IgG antibodies rise and fall on different time frames. The relationship between these two antibodies may provide some information about when an exposure took place, where an individual may be in the recovery process, and even if they may possess longer-term protective antibodies to the virus.

  • IgM antibodies are noted earlier in the infection process. They are often detectable around one to several weeks after the onset of infection. As such, the presence of IgM antibodies may indicate a more recent exposure to the virus.

  • IgG antibodies are a longer-term response to the virus. They often rise several weeks after the onset of infection, and may be detectable for months after in many individuals. IgG antibodies may indicate recovery from Covid-19, and possibly even suggest an individual has some level of protection against future exposure to the virus.

Specimen Collection

This test requires a serum specimen, which must be collected by a licensed healthcare practitioner or phlebotomist. You may take the test kit to your doctor, so long as they have the capacity to take serum samples, or may arrange for a blood draw at a local clinic or mobile phlebotomist. Included in each testing kit are an SST vial, cold pack, prepaid FedEx shipping label, packaging, and complete instructions for collecting and shipping samples.

Disclaimer: This Antibody test is serum blood test that qualitatively identifies antibodies that may be present when a person is responding to infection. This test hasn’t been reviewed by the FDA, and should not be used as the sole basis to diagnose or exclude infection by SARS-CoV-2. A negative test result does not rule out SARS-CoV-2 infection, particularly in those who have been recently exposed to the virus. This test may provide false-positive results in individuals that have been infected by other coronavirus strains HKU1, NL63, OC43, or 229E.
