Do you have Covid Antibodies?
Have you recovered from coronavirus or Covid-19? Suspect you may have been previously exposed? The Rapid Covid-19 Antibody Test is a highly accurate at-home test that looks for antibodies to SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for the Covid-19 infection. This test can identify individuals with recent or past exposure to the virus, and potentially some current antibody resistance to the disease.
Fast, Easy, and Accurate
This is a rapid at-home test, similar in design to an pregnancy test. It does not require a physical doctors' visit, or the mailing of any samples to a lab. It is almost instant, producing a clear and easy-to-read reaction (red bars) in response to two different Covid-19 antibodies within minutes. Furthermore, the technology applied is highly accurate, allowing it to overcome some of the weaknesses in earlier rapid-type antibody tests. You can place confidence in the results.
Dual IgM/IgG Antibody Detection
This rapid test is highly sensitive and specific for both Covid IgM and IgG antibodies. These antibodies rise and fall on different time frames, and their relationship may provide some information about when an exposure took place, where an individual may be in the recovery process, and even if they possess protective antibodies to the virus.
IgM antibodies are noted earlier in the infection process. They are often detectable around one to several weeks after the onset of infection. As such, the presence of IgM antibodies may indicate a more recent exposure to the virus.
- IgG antibodies are a longer-term response to the virus. They often rise several weeks after the onset of infection, and may be detectable for months after in many individuals. IgG antibodies may indicate recovery from Covid-19, and potentially some current protection against exposure to the virus.
This test uses a fingertip blood sample, and is quite easy to administer on your own. You simply use a lancet to collect a small amount of blood on your finger, and apply it to the testing cartridge, along with a few drops of solution (all included). Even so, a free phone consultation with a healthcare professional is included to assist you. They will walk you through the steps for sample collection, and answer any basic questions you may have about the test. This should provide you with even more confidence in the testing process and results.
This Test Examines:
SARS-CoV2 IgM antibodies
SARS-CoV2 IgG antibodies
Disclaimer: This Antibody test is a rapid test that qualitatively identifies antibodies that may be present when a person is responding to infection. This test hasn’t been reviewed by the FDA, and should not be used as the sole basis to diagnose or exclude infection by SARS-CoV-2. A negative test result does not rule out SARS-CoV-2 infection, particularly in those who have been recently exposed to the virus.
